$1500 Federal Tax Credit for Energy Efficient Home Improvements
Tax Credits are Now Available for Home Improvements
- Improvement/installation must be 'placed in service' between January 1, 2009 and December 31, 2010
- Must be for taxpayers principal residence
- Maximum amount is $1500.00 in 2010 for most home improvements
- For record-keeping, save your receipts and the Manufacturer Certification Statement, or for windows, save the Energy Star label
- Improvements made in 2010 may be claimed on your 2010 taxes - use IRS tax form 5695
